Yellow Warbler, Command Performance

Command Performance – Yellow Warbler, Île Saint-Bernard
250 years. Though their time there has passed, a quiet legacy remains—an orchard of apple trees still grows on the land they once tended
On one spring morning, among the new growth of a young Royal Gala tree, I caught sight of this yellow warbler in full song. A flash of sunshine among the blossoms, it seemed to sing not just for a mate, but for the moment itself.
There was something perfectly theatrical in the scene: the labelled tree, the pink buds just opening, and this little bird delivering its melody like a soloist on cue.
